WEACT COOKSTOVE PHOTOGRAPHY SHOOT

  APRIL 2023

MFP recently worked with WeAct to document the cookstove project they support in Madagascar. WeAct provides fuel efficient cookstoves to households that reduce the amount of firewood needed to cook. This in turn decreases deforestation and local emissions - and improves health, income and employment opportunities for local communities. Goff traveled with the WeAct crew to Fianarantsoa to photograph in the factories that make the cookstoves and the homes of local community members that are using the stoves.

TESTIMONIAL

"Madagascar Film & Photography recently helped us get world-class photos of a sustainable development project we operate in central Madagascar – I highly recommend them for the quality of their work, communication and excellent client management. Goff was an amazing photographer, and beautifully captured the local stories, people and environments in a way that massively beat our expectations. He worked hard to make sure people felt comfortable in front of the camera, and had the deep expertise to set up each shot perfectly. This team works hard in preparation, and tirelessly to get the shots you need, and go above and beyond to make it a wonderful experience for everyone involved.

The MFP team also helped us manage significant local media restrictions; navigating government bureaucracy, detailed forms, and tight timelines, to ensure we had the permits necessary to capture images and use drones in various parts of the country. This team are well priced, extremely knowledgeable about their profession and about working in Madagascar, and will deliver excellent results – whether the focus is nature, underwater, people, indoors/outdoors etc. They can do it all.

I wouldn’t recommend anyone else for film and photography in this part of the world – don’t pass up the opportunity to work with them!"
