We pride ourselves on our in-depth knowledge of Madagascar’s wildlife and it’s environment. Our team lives in Madagascar and has travelled extensively throughout the country and has a wealth of first-hand knowledge and contacts at our fingertips that can help with all your production needs.
We have our own in-house team of specialist wildlife and environmental filmmakers and photographers who are equally as comfortable filming terrestrially, underwater or from the air. They have filmed, produced or directed for numerous acclaimed projects, including for the BBC, Vice on HBO, PBS and The Discovery Channel.
LOCATION SCOUTING
MFP has extensive expertise in location scouting. Whether you need to film targeted animal behaviour or know where the best conservation programs for a specific species are happening, we can find you the best locations and advise on the best time of year to do so.
TRANSLATORS
Whilst Malagasy and French are the two official languages in Madagascar there are in fact a host of different dialects around the country. This can make getting the correct translations rather tricky! Fortunately MFP’s in-house local fixers speak all of these local dialects, meaning that you can maximise your time in the field and properly share your vision with the local communities you are filming with.

TESTIMONIALS
Images really matter when trying to portray conservation stories. Madagascar Film & Photography (MFP) has such an intimate knowledge of the many environmental issues in Madagascar and this really shows in their images. Their experience means they manage to film and photograph things which others would find difficult to access. Chris and Goff at MFP are a fantastic team and a pleasure to work with. I recently used some of their images to illustrate a paper in Nature Sustainability ‘the last chance for Madagascar’s biodiversity’. Their powerful images helped bring the story to a different audience

Chris did fantastic job filming for our BBC World documentary. The sea life looks amazing and was the highlight of the show. He also shot some wonderfully imaginative set ups of divers being trained. We simply would not have got anything this good without him. I would highly recommend Chris and hope to work with him again in the future.
Dawn Lake, Producer, BBC WORLD TV - Fast Track.

Chris’s experience and professionalism shone through - we were able to get some very powerful and technically sound footage (of shark fishing communities) without any issues. On top of that he was very personable and a pleasure to work with.
